Potentia Selected as a Finalist for the American Prize
Thank you to The American Prize Board for selecting Potentia as a finalist in the 2026 Composition (Orchestra Division). Congratulations as well to the many outstanding composers whose works were recognized this year.
The project was the result of a remarkable collaboration among artists across multiple mediums, and it remains one of the most meaningful works I have had the opportunity to create. I am deeply grateful to everyone who helped bring it to the stage: Roger Kalia, Anne Carmack, Cindy Bandel, Jubilant Sykes, and the musicians of Orchestra Santa Monica.
Seeing Potentia recognized in this way is especially rewarding as the work continues its journey beyond the premiere, including a professional studio recording session on June 29 at Sony Pictures Studios.
